Aireborough

Aireborough was an urban district in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1937 to 1974, to the north of Leeds. [1] It covered Guiseley, Yeadon and Rawdon. The district now forms part of the Metropolitan Borough of Leeds.

The name of Aireborough remains in use in many local organisations as well as being a Delivery Office of the Royal Mail. It is also a Census ward and was notable for being named ‘the most average place in England and Wales’[2] in the studies arising from the 2001 Census.
