Beeston is an area of inner-city south Leeds, West Yorkshire, England with a population of about 16,000. It is a mixed but largely working-class area, with – unusually for south Leeds – a sizable south Asian population. Most of the housing is of nineteenth-century stock, varying from small back-to-back terraces to larger terraces and semi-detached houses. Beeston is one of south Leeds’s more tolerant and bohemian areas. Beeston is also home to Leeds United Football Club on Elland Road.
