Whinmoor is an area of some council houses but mainly private estates on the outer edge of east Leeds, West Yorkshire. The area is 8 km (5 miles) to the north east of the City Centre, adjacent to Seacroft.
It is often unfaily lumped in with Seacroft, which is used as a catch-all term for the extensive council estates of east Leeds. A quiet and community-spirited area.
Plus Whinmoor is the eastern terminus for First Leeds overground services 4 and 56.
